Mess Timings and Access Control

  • Breakfast (07:30 AM - 09:15 AM) ; Lunch (12:00 PM - 02:00 PM) ; Dinner (07:30 PM - 08:45 PM) . During Sunday and holidays Breakfast timing is (08:00 AM - 09:15 AM). 

  • All students must comply with the rules of stay in the canteen. No student is allowed into the canteen after meal time, except with permission from the chef or service manager. To obtain permission, you must notify the service manager or chef in advance.

  • Students and employees of other departments are prohibited from entering the kitchen and prep room. Allowed only in special clothing and only with permission from the chef or service manager

Mess Food & Utensils

  • Taking food out of the canteen is strictly prohibited.

  • Taking out kitchen utensils or any items is strictly prohibited. If you do, you will be fined from 20-50 US dollars.

  • If any students becomes sick, he/she has to provide medical/doctor’s report, after food can be provided with the permission of the mess warden & chief cook. Sick students must use their own utensils and must have a mess card to eat.

Mess Card

  • It is mandatory to bring mess card in mess during every meal times. No students will be allowed in the mess without mess card. No digital copy will be acceptable.

Maintenance of Hygiene and Cleanliness

  • All residents are required to maintain a high standard of cleanliness inside the mess area.

  • A self-system of disposal will be followed in all mess after having dine. All students using meal cards are required to follow the rules of conduct and hygiene. After eating, the student is required to clean up after himself and dispose of food scraps in specially designated places.

  • Come to mess with proper dress, specially in the winter.

Mess Services & Cancellation

  • You will be able to avail mess services for one whole academic year or for one semester. 

  • You will be able to cancel mess after one whole academic year or after one semester. 

  • If you want to cancel mess services, you have to inform mess administration before 15 days the semester ends.

  • Students who are living in flat can use mess facilities after paying full charges for mess.

  • If the card is lost, he/she has to submit application to the mess administration & should request to provide mess card again.

  • Mess authority has the right to change or add mess rules & regulations regarding the mess services.

  • Availing mess services is mandatory for 1st & 2nd year students. From 3rd year onwards, it is optional to avail mess services.

Prohibition of Alcohol, Intoxicants, Smoking & Wrongdoing:

  • The consumption of alcohol, intoxicants, and smoking within the mess premises is strictly prohibited. Individuals found in violation of this regulation will face immediate disciplinary measures, including potential expulsion from the mess services. If found guilty the student will be obliged to pay the fine. 

  • A fine of $50 will be levied for alcohol consumption, $20 for smoking, $50 for cooking inside room & $20 for taking mess products inside mess premises. 

  • The fines for any wrongdoing will range from $20 to $200.
